Charmaine White Face, or Zumila Wobaga, is an Oglala Tetuwan (Lakota speaker) from the Oceti (Great Sioux Nation) in North America.
She is known for her work in support of Native American rights, in particular as coordinator of the Defenders of the Black Hills, a volunteer environmental organization centered on efforts to encourage the United States government to honor the Fort Laramie Treaties of 1851 and 1868 and address the issues of old abandoned mines ( Gold and Uranium).
She also works at the international level in support of recognition of human rights of indigenous peoples all over the world. She is the spokesperson for the Sioux Nation Treaty Council established in 1894.
She has worked to preserve Bear Butte on monitoring of abandoned uranium mines , on “environmental remediation of hazardous waste ponds and in the anti- nuclear power movement.

Charmaine Whiteface is also a columnist and freelance writer who has written for Indian Country today, the Rapid City Journal , the Sioux Falls Argus Leader, and The Lakota Journal, and is a grandmother.

Heide Hatry (born in 1965) is a New York City and Berlin based German neo-conceptual artist, curator and editor. Her work, often either body-related or employing animal flesh and organs has aroused controversy and has been considered horrific, repulsive or sensationalist by some critics, while others have hailed her as an
“imaginative provocateur,”“a force of nature…, an artist and a humanist who is making a selfless contribution to life,” and an artist whose works provoke a “reaction akin to having witnessed a murder.”
Her work bears conceptual (and material) similarities to that of Joseph Beuys, Damien Hirst, Dieter Roth, Jana Sterbak, and Louise Bourgeois.

This interview with Stefan Stux was recorded in 2017 at the Stux Gallery in New York during the exhibit titled
“ Material Reality” by German born, New York based artist Heide Hatry.
Here, Stefan recounts his origins in Eastern Europe and what became his main motivation to become an art curator and dealer.
“So, for me, the idea of freedom of expression became something strong and personal. It was a visceral physical matter to me.
When the Nazis started in the 1930s nobody spoke out.”
Stefan Stux was born in 1942, in Eastern Europe.
He founded the Stux Gallery in New York in 1980.
Stux Gallery shows a diverse group of artists, drawn from a broad international spectrum including the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa. The gallery highlights work by mid-career, established, and emerging artists that challenges traditional notions of genre and medium, often with a deep conceptual bent.

Sarah Lybert was raised in the Uummannaq Children’s home in west Greenland and became the main actress in the film INUK directed by Mike Magidson and co-written by Magidson, Ole Jørgen Hammeken and anthropologist Jean-Michel Huctin.
The film was co- produced by Ann Andreasen, the Director of the Children Home in Uummannaq.
